Whether he is doing a one on one session or speaking to a crowd of 500 people, Mr. Kevin S. Brigance brings a room to life with his high energy and passion. Having the opportunity to impact the lives of many young men, Mr. Kevin acknowledges his accomplishments wouldn’t be possible without his faith and the support of his loving family; his wife Dalena, who is an educator, and his daughter Kendall, who loves to sing, dance, act. She believes her Dad is funny, cool, friendly, and actually inspiring.
As a Youth Development Coach, Mr. Kevin has dedicated over a decade of his life mentoring and coaching male students of color. He has served over 1,000 students throughout Tarrant County and local school districts which many of them have graduated from high school, are attending college, and/or pursing their careers. Mr. Kevin has also had the distinct honor to lead the My Brothers Keeper FWISD district wide mentoring program initiative in 2015-17 as one of his greatest programming efforts.
In addition to mentoring male students of color, Mr. Kevin as also served over five years mentoring and coaching young “teen” fathers who are currently parenting or about to be parents as high school students. The Young Father’s program partners with Fort Worth ISD Adolescence Pregnancy department Project Reach to provide fathers in the program with the additional support needed to become great dads while completing their high school diploma. To date the program has served over 200 fathers at over 17 high schools.
Mr. Kevin inspires to leave a legacy of his commitment to the growth and development of young men and fathers of the Fort Worth community. When Mr. Kevin isn’t coaching or mentoring, you would catch him is listen to music, reading and researching, jump roping, or spending quality time with loved ones.
